The County Administrative Board is a driving force for a sustainable society. We work together with authorities, municipalities, businesses, and other actors with a focus on Västra Götaland County and its 1.7 million inhabitants. The County Administrative Board has a broad range of operations and plays a very important role in several areas of society. This includes, not least, the highly current challenges of regional growth, implementing the green transition, developing civil defence, and nurturing democracy.

The County Administrative Board is a regional state authority with approximately 1,000 pleasant and competent employees. We operate in several locations in Västra Götaland, as well as elsewhere in Sweden, as we are responsible for the IT operations for all County Administrative Boards.

About the Environmental Department

Our main task is to work towards achieving environmental goals through supervision of environmentally hazardous activities, supervisory guidance, work on contaminated sites, and energy efficiency. The department is also responsible for the licensing of environmentally hazardous activities and for coordinating the County Administrative Board's work on environmental and climate goals. As our employee and colleague, you will become an important part of the county's work to achieve these environmental goals.

About the Job

We are looking for you who are about to start the advanced training in environmental and health protection and who are interested in participating in and contributing to supervisory work with a focus on contaminated sites. You will be given tasks that will give you experience in administrative authority work.

We are looking for you who are about to start the advanced training in environmental and health protection for natural scientists, autumn semester 2026. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of contaminated sites, geology, and GIS.

As a person, you are structured, have good communication skills, and are good at collaborating with others.

Good to Know

The employment is based on the state agreement on fixed-term employment as a student employee. Therefore, you will be employed for one semester at a time, for a maximum of two semesters. You need to have the conditions to work approximately eight hours per week, planned according to agreement.
