Description

Are you a cheerful, confident, and flexible person who enjoys talking to children and making their healthcare experience a little better? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

At the children's hospital in Gothenburg, we work with pediatric blood sampling – a job that requires both professional skill and a big heart. We meet children in various situations, and we know that calm hands and purposeful work make a difference.

Job Responsibilities

At the pediatric sampling unit, six employees work, and we also borrow colleagues from our adult sampling units. We represent different professional categories: nursing assistants, laboratory technicians, biomedical analysts, and a nurse.

We primarily perform capillary and venous blood sampling, as well as sweat tests, and we offer "stick school" for fearful children. We visit units at the children's hospital and health centers to teach pediatric sampling techniques.

Working hours are weekdays from 07:00 to 15:45. Since we have many patients in the morning, it is necessary for you to be able to start at 07:00 every day.

Over time, there is an opportunity to combine this position with other assignments, depending on knowledge and interest.

Qualifications

  • Licensed biomedical analyst with documented knowledge of frequent pediatric blood sampling.
  • The job requires good interaction and communication skills as you will have extensive contact with various healthcare units. This means you need to speak fluent Swedish and be proficient in writing in Swedish.
  • You must have good judgment and be able to independently take responsibility for tasks.
  • We are looking for someone who is good at collaborating and has an engaged and positive approach to work.
  • It is meritorious if you have previously worked with sweat sampling and analysis and have experience in leading others.
  • Personal suitability is highly valued.

Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, so do not hesitate to submit your application today!

We warmly welcome your application!
