About the role

We are now looking for a Registered Nurse who wants to work in our short-term unit. The short-term unit operates during daytime hours, Monday to Friday.

As a nurse in municipal primary care, you work independently and in a team to provide qualified health and medical care within the municipality's primary care short-term unit. You meet patients of all ages with varying needs, which provides a broad and stimulating assignment.

Responsibilities include among other things:

• Assessment, planning, and follow-up of nursing interventions
• Medication management and medical treatments
• Collaboration with doctors, rehabilitation staff, and care personnel
• Mentoring and support for nursing staff
• Participating in and developing close care work
• Documentation according to current legislation

Job duties

• Standard duties within municipal primary care
• Work independently and in a team with assessment and interventions
• Perform medical procedures
• Delegate and mentor nursing staff
• Work in close cooperation with nursing staff, unit managers, social services, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nursing colleagues

We are looking for you who:

• Are a registered nurse
• Are confident in your role as a nurse
• Have a good ability to work independently and make decisions
• Have a structured working method and can prioritize in a varied workday
• Have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive team climate
• Hold a valid B-driver's license

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience from municipal primary care or regional primary care
• Specialist education in a relevant area

For positions where a license/valid proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare for a protected professional title is required, this must be submitted prior to employment.

Language assessment is conducted for certain professional groups before employment can become relevant.

Criminal record checks are conducted for all employment within the social services administration.

For employment within HVB (home for care based on special care) operations, the HVB extract is requested.

For employment within operations targeting children with disabilities, the extract for children with disabilities and control of own information are requested.

For other employment within the social services administration, the extract "Control of own information" is requested.

If the extract is not digital, it must be brought in an unopened envelope in connection with the control.

Employment is contingent upon necessary decisions being made. For positions where the work involves direct and regular contact with children and young people, as well as for operations within LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), care and nursing, health and medical care, psychiatric care, and addiction care, a valid extract from the police's criminal record register must be shown or submitted prior to employment.
