Description

The Anesthesia/Operation and ICU/Post-op area within Skaraborg Hospital (SkaS) has hospital units in Lidköping, Skövde, and Falköping. We operate as a unified whole within our area, which means that as an employee, you may occasionally be deployed to other locations within SkaS to ensure patients receive the care and treatment we are expected to provide. During the summer, as well as Christmas and New Year, operations are concentrated in Skövde, which may also happen at other times during the year. The Day Surgery Center at SkaS Falköping consists of a pre/post-operative ward and an operating department.

The Day Surgery Center at Falköping Hospital comprises a day surgery unit and an operating department with four operating rooms. Planned surgeries are performed during daytime hours, Monday to Friday. The main specialties are general surgery and orthopedics. To a lesser extent, surgeries are also performed in ENT, urology, and dentistry. The unit is staffed by doctors, specialist nurses, assistant nurses, and sterile technicians.

Job Responsibilities

As an Operating Room Nurse, you work in a team with other professional groups such as doctors, operating room nurses/assistant nurses, and anesthetist nurses. We constantly strive for an efficient patient flow with a focus on quality, patient safety, and involvement.

Qualifications

To apply for the position, you must be a licensed nurse with specialist education in operating room care. Previous experience in operating room care is advantageous. You are a team player, flexible, and capable of working independently. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
