About Us

The Masthugget Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic is centrally located in Gothenburg, in new central premises, and provides outpatient care that does not require the hospital's resources. Within Regionhälsan, there are also midwife clinics, a specialist unit for pregnant women with substance use, and an ultrasound clinic. The Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic shares premises with Agnes, which is a sub-acute clinic for pregnant and newly delivered patients who can also be treated in outpatient care.

The practice is conducted in close collaboration with obstetrics at Östra sjukhuset/Sahlgrenska University Hospital, enabling a cohesive care chain and operational cooperation between inpatient and outpatient care.

At the clinic, we are a team of employees, consisting of gynecologists, obstetricians, midwives, nursing assistants, and administrative staff. We also have a training institution for specialty trainees (ST-läkare) in both gynecology and general practice.

About the Job

As a specialist doctor here, you will have a varied and stimulating job where you have the opportunity to work broadly within gynecology and obstetrics. You will work with the investigation and treatment of gynecological diseases, as well as provide contraceptive counseling and maternal health care. The role includes work within specialist maternal care and our minor emergency clinic for pregnant and newly delivered women (Agnes).

Our gynecology clinic is organized into teams with different focus areas, such as endometriosis, dysplasia, and contraception. Here, you have the opportunity to contribute your skills and be involved in further developing the practice. We offer regular rounds and doctor meetings where collegial exchange, learning, and improvement work are in focus. As a newly qualified specialist, you will also receive an induction and further education plan that will help you become confident in your role within outpatient gynecology.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed doctor with a specialist certificate in obstetrics and gynecology and who have a genuine interest in outpatient care. If you have a special interest in, for example, dysplasia, contraception, or maternal care, it is an advantage. It is meritorious if you have supervisor training, are a colposcopist, or have several years of experience after your specialist degree, but we also welcome you who are a new specialist and want to continue developing in your professional role.

As a person, you are flexible, committed, and have a professional attitude. You thrive working in multidisciplinary teams, contribute to a good work climate, and have excellent collaboration skills.

Conditions

The position is located at the Masthugget Gynecology Clinic, with the possibility of combining the work with duties at the obstetrics unit in the same premises. The work is carried out during daytime on weekdays without holidays. Selection is ongoing, and interviews are planned to be conducted during weeks 33 and 34. Salary form: Monthly salary, individual salary setting.
