About the Job

This is a combined position where you divide your time between Närhälsan Vargön Health Centre and Youth Mental Health (UPH) Sylte. The setup is flexible and is shaped in dialogue, for example regarding working days, location, and the possibility of digital visits.

Youth Mental Health (UPH) is tasked with providing children, young people, and their guardians with mental health issues with early and adequate care. You will work with assessing, diagnosing, and treating children and young people with mental health issues, as well as the significance of psychosocial factors, and based on this, propose and implement suitable interventions. You collaborate with other actors, e.g., schools and social services, where you also participate in SIP meetings. Treatment interventions for depression, anxiety, and self-harm behaviors, as well as counseling, support, and crisis conversations, are part of your assignment. You become an important contact for parental support both individually and in groups, and you also conduct other group treatments such as worry management, AFFEKT, and ABC.

We work based on primary care-oriented methods, where the work includes high accessibility, stepwise/stratified care, and collaboration with other professions and care partners. It is important that you have an interest in working in a primary care-oriented manner, which means prioritizing high accessibility for all residents with mental and behavioral health issues.

About You

You are a licensed psychologist with at least one year of clinical experience working with children and young people with mental health issues. It is meritorious if you have experience from the following:

• Work as a psychologist at the primary care level
• Stepwise care
• Internet-based psychological treatment
• Group treatment

We are looking for you who are sensitive and accommodating, with good communication skills and the ability to identify individuals' unique needs. Through initiative and active engagement, you want to participate in the development of the operations and contribute as a consultative resource in the daily interdisciplinary collaboration at the health centre.

About the Recruitment Process

Selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call current candidates to a telephone interview. Thereafter, the hiring manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them to an interview at the health centre.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalized answers – this so that we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the result was.
