About the Department

Neuropsychiatry is one of five adult psychiatric departments at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. We provide specialized psychiatric care focusing on memory-related diseases, neuropsychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, psychiatry for the deaf and hard of hearing, psychiatry for patients with eating disorders, psychiatry for patients with intellectual disabilities, and patients with Huntington's disease.

We are currently seeking resident doctors (underläkare) for the units Neuropsychiatry Clinic East and West.

What do we offer?

We offer you the opportunity to work as a resident doctor in a learning and developing environment with daily supervision by a specialist in a dual clinic setting. The clinics work evidence-based and structured, and are in constant development. There may be opportunities to participate in development work and/or research.

Good work as a resident doctor with us provides merit for internship (AT), basic training (BT), and specialist training (ST) in psychiatry. The position is a fixed-term employment of 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

Standard duties as a resident doctor in psychiatric care, including on-call duties.

About You

We are looking for you who have a medical degree and wish to work with us for a slightly longer period. Holding a license is an advantage. Experience in healthcare, especially in psychiatry, is an advantage.

As a person, you are passionate about patient interaction. You have a good ability to work independently when required, but are a team player when needed. You are efficient and results-oriented, while also being meticulous, spreading positivity, and eager to learn more. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
