Your future workplace

Ward 5 is an internal medicine ward with a cardiology focus. We are a ward that cares for patients with acute heart conditions and provides aftercare following heart surgery. We also care for other internal medicine patients and work with rapid investigations and examinations to meet our patients' care needs.

The ward has 23 care beds and the possibility for telemetry monitoring. Ward 5 is also a Unit for Clinical Practice Education (UVA) for nursing students, with resources to make the placement with us as good as possible, and we also have assistant nurse students.

As an assistant nurse here, you will be part of multidisciplinary teams together with doctors and nurses in the daily care of patients, primarily of a medical nature. We have new, fresh premises that offer a pleasant physical working environment with plenty of space and adapted to the patient's needs.

We work in teams, which means that all professions – nurses, assistant nurses, paramedics, and doctors – work together with the patient. Good collaboration is therefore something that is important to us. Our focus is on continuously developing and improving close care for our patients. Our driving forces are joy, presence, and engagement.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse with a focus on emergency care.

We would like you to be responsible, structured, and engaged, and willing to take initiative. You are also flexible and positive in situations that require a little extra. We value good teamwork for a good working environment and job satisfaction, which is why you need to have good cooperation skills.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Protected professional title for assistant nurses

From July 1, 2023, "assistant nurse" is a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title assistant nurse within care and social services.
