Within the Care and Elderly Care Administration, full-time work is the norm. This means that all permanent employees are fundamentally employed on a full-time basis. More information about what this entails in this specific role will be provided during a potential interview. Personal assistants are exempt from the full-time norm.

The Authority under the Care Committee is responsible for providing services to people with disabilities who need support in their daily lives. The Authority is divided into eight units targeting different groups. Here, we employ social secretaries, team leaders, unit managers, and various support functions. We also collaborate closely with the Authority under the Elderly Care Committee, which is part of the same administration.
Due to one employee changing residence and another moving on to new assignments within Uppsala Municipality, we are now seeking social secretaries for the unit Social Psychiatry Housing.
Our workplace is located in the city hall in central Uppsala. Here, we work in bright, fresh premises and choose our workspace based on the tasks at hand. Description of duties
Our target group is people over 18 years of age with mental or neuropsychiatric disabilities. We primarily work with various types of housing services for these individuals.
The work involves providing information, as well as investigating, assessing, and making decisions on services according to both the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act of Support and Service for Certain Disability Groups (LSS). Another important part is following up on decisions to ensure that the support functions as intended.
The role includes collaboration both internally and externally with providers and other principal authorities. Documentation, individual meetings, and care planning are also important parts of the work.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree in social work, a degree from the social care program, or another education that the employer deems relevant for the role. You need to have experience working as a case worker with authority execution according to SoL and LSS. The role also requires good oral and written skills in Swedish and good familiarity with the operational system Lifecare.
We consider it meritorious if you have training in Motivational Interviewing (MI), good knowledge of Individual Needs in Focus (IBIC), and experience working in Microsoft 365.
As a person, you are flexible and adaptable in changing situations and see opportunities in change. You are good at creating good collaborations and relationships, are receptive in meetings with others, and communicate clearly and constructively. The job suits you if you work in a structured manner, plan and prioritize effectively, and adhere to set timeframes. You have a holistic perspective and act based on the best interests of the operations.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
