Case Officer for the EU and International Affairs Unit, Ministry of Justice
Are you interested in working with EU coordination and the political leadership's international contacts? Then we have an interesting position for you.
Your working day. Sweden's tomorrow.
We are looking for a case officer to become part of the organization working with EU and international coordination, as well as the political leadership's international travel and visits. The work may involve handling invitations and requests, planning and implementing incoming international high-level visits or outgoing trips for the political leadership, and coordinating the Ministry's contributions and inputs in EU processes, such as COREPER and the Council of the EU.
A large part of the work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues in the unit and other units within the Ministry, often at a high pace. Changing conditions are part of everyday life, which places high demands on flexibility and creativity. Contact with other ministries and stakeholders outside the Government Offices is also common, both at the national and international levels. Contact with the political staffs within the Ministry is also part of the job.

It is important that you have experience in coordinating or managing outgoing and incoming international visits and travel. You have knowledge of the EU's institutions, decision-making and legal processes, and very good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English. Knowledge of the Government Offices and the Riksdag is meritorious, as is knowledge of protocol matters in international bilateral high-level contacts or meetings. Knowledge of French is also a plus, as is experience from a Swedish foreign mission.
Your qualities
The Government Offices' employee criteria are holistic view, development, and results. Everyone working at the Government Offices needs to have a holistic perspective and collaborate for the benefit of the operations. You are results-oriented in your actions and adapt when needs and directions change.
As a person, you are service-oriented and self-reliant while having good teamwork skills. You are structured and plan your work but are also flexible and can adapt to rapid changes.
