About the School

Krokslättsskolan is located in northern Mölndal, close to both Gothenburg and central Mölndal. The school is situated directly adjacent to Safjället and its beautiful nature and jogging trails. Krokslätts sports field is also located near the school, and we use both the forest and the sports field in our daily teaching. The school has approximately 260 students in grades F-5, and most of them attend one of our five after-school centers. Krokslättsskolan is characterized by both the old and the new. The main school building was erected as early as 1911 and has been completely renovated, while the second building is relatively new. During 2027-2028, another new school building will be constructed.

Responsibilities

We are looking for two teachers for Krokslättsskolan - one position in grade 4 and one position in grade 5. You will belong to a work team within the grade level, consisting of teachers, after-school center staff, and student assistants. The position primarily involves planning and conducting teaching. You will co-plan and collaborate with your colleagues in the work team, and alongside teaching, you will naturally perform typical teacher duties such as development conferences, student welfare work, and contact with guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 4-6, preferably with broad qualifications. Whether you are a newly graduated teacher or have worked for a long time, it is important that you have good subject knowledge, the ability to build good relationships, and that teaching is your focus. You are a clear and secure leader in the classroom and work with communication, structure, and direction. We are looking for someone who is engaged, flexible, positive, and for us, it is important that you have good collaboration skills. Meritorious is if you have good knowledge regarding reading and writing acquisition and at least a basic understanding of what a cognitive science perspective means for teaching.
