Description

Torpaskolan is a school for grades F-9 (preschool class to grade 9) with approximately 500 students. The school is located in the premises previously used by SDF Örgryte-Härlanda. Together, we base our work on the City of Gothenburg's operational idea, where student participation, intrinsic motivation, and a desire to learn are valued, and a holistic view of learning is at the center. We work in an interdisciplinary manner where subject teams and work groups collaborate in various ways. Our work is grounded in our core values: Joy, Responsibility, and Pride.

Job Responsibilities

To our work group in grades 1-3, we are looking for you who take great responsibility for developing professionally and see your work as an opportunity to contribute to maximum learning for the students, yourself, and your colleagues. You have the ability to see students' different needs, take their individual prerequisites into account, and have an inclusive approach. In your role, you take responsibility for supporting students so they can succeed based on their prerequisites.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and have broad eligibility to teach in grades 1-3. We are looking for you who have many years of experience in the profession and are accustomed to working with students with challenging behavior and can meet their needs.

You need to have the ability to work flexibly and support staff, students, and parents, as well as work systematically to help students reach their goals. You are familiar with the school's steering documents and have an inclusive perspective, as well as the ability to see how the individual student's needs can best be met.

You are goal- and results-oriented and create security, trust, and good relationships through a conscious approach. You have the ability to be a qualified conversation partner in pedagogical matters for colleagues, parents, and other concerned parties. You feel a genuine commitment to our children and have a good ability to create structure in the operations.
