Gärdes Backe Service Housing is a residence for individuals with an LSS (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) intervention, target group 1, located in Inverness, Danderyd. Here, we work together with the residents to design individual implementation plans where the individual's wishes and needs are at the center. Everyone living with us should be prepared to receive the decided support, and our goal is to provide each person with the tools and support needed to make daily life function as well as possible.

Job Responsibilities

As a Support Assistant, you are part of a work team that provides pedagogical support and care to promote the residents' abilities and independence. Your tasks involve working closely with the residents and supporting them in their daily lives.

Your tasks will include, among other things:

• Personal care and support in daily activities.
• Healthcare-related tasks according to delegation from licensed personnel.
• Support during leisure activities and interests.
• Support and execution of household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc.

As a Support Assistant, you follow our common goals and implementation plans and document in our systems. Your work involves collaborating with colleagues, partners, residents, relatives, or other important people for the residents. As a Support Assistant with us, your tasks consist of building a trusting relationship with the residents and, respecting their right to self-determination and privacy, supporting them in areas of their lives where they have difficulty managing on their own.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are/have:

• Trained Support Assistant, or Assistant Nurse with a focus on disabilities, or alternatively other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Current experience working with people with disabilities and autism, as well as experience working in group homes/service housing under LSS. Experience in low-affective interaction and clarifying pedagogy.
• Good knowledge of and experience working with digital implementation plans and social documentation.
• Good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Education in Special Pedagogy 1 and 2.
• Experience with Motivational Interviewing (MI).

We are looking for you who are responsible and engaged, with a positive outlook and a genuine interest in people. You have the ability to create a sense of basic security for the residents, are empathetic, and show personal maturity. The work requires you to be structured, able to work based on given guidelines, and plan and complete your tasks within the specified time. You are secure and have the ability to distinguish between professional matters and personal matters in your role.

You are independent, unpretentious, and enjoy working collaboratively in a team where responsibility and competence are shared. You adapt your work to the residents' needs and always put the residents' best interests first. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date by agreement. Probation period may apply.
Working hours: Working hours vary, and sleeping on-call duty is included.
