The Reception Unit
The Reception Unit is a work group with broad and long experience in working within social services, consisting of five social secretaries, a street worker, as well as a team leader and unit manager.
The unit also has an ongoing project with 2 social secretaries with a case manager function, for which we have been granted UPH funds for 2026.
We are located in premises in Huddinge Centre, and it is easy to get here by public transport.
The primary task of the Reception Unit is to offer our residents in Huddinge a way into the section within the framework of preliminary assessments. You can contact the Reception Unit if you want to apply for support based on addiction issues, mental disability, and/or domestic violence, or if you want to make a report if you are worried about someone. The Reception Unit is responsible for receiving, processing, and assessing new reports and applications; a large part of the work is also to determine municipal affiliation. We have high accessibility and are developing various digital solutions to facilitate contact with our citizens and collaboration partners.

About the position
The Adult Section is part of IFO/Social Services Administration. The section includes the Reception Unit, the Social Psychiatry Unit, the Unit for Defectors, Addiction, and Domestic Violence, as well as service units.
The authority units within the section are co-located, which creates good conditions for a holistic view. The social services in Huddinge Municipality should work so that the individual experiences that the support is coordinated. Interventions and service should be characterized by a holistic view of the individual, and coordination with other actors must be ensured.
The work involves a lot of collaboration both internally and externally, and the role involves leading and distributing the work as well as supervising employees in their daily work. You are responsible for the operational leadership and have close cooperation with the unit manager. You are good at communicating and justifying the assessments made in individual cases. You plan and drive your work independently and ask for help when needed. You need to be able to shift focus with short notice and change your planning, as such situations may arise. An important part of your work is to have high accessibility towards the social secretaries. You establish and maintain the quality in both the documentation and the processes that social secretaries work with in client contact, and it is therefore important that you have the ability to take overall responsibility for how client contacts and processes are handled. This requires that you are responsible and good at structuring your work.
In the work team, you support your colleagues, share your experience and knowledge, and contribute to a good work climate. As a team leader in Huddinge Municipality, you are part of the leadership and have the ability to create engagement and enthusiasm in the work group.
