Hello, I am a 5-year-old boy who, together with my parents, is looking for a substitute caregiver for 6 hours per month. The idea is that we meet for a longer weekend shift each month to relieve my parents.

I am deaf and have a rare diagnosis. Adults communicate with me verbally, with signs, and with pictures. I need help with everything, even though I try to be independent. Therefore, as my substitute caregiver, you need to have experience with this, preferably being able to use sign language or PECS (TAKK).

Routines are very important to me so that I feel safe. I enjoy being outside and walking, but if we need to be indoors, I can play with toys together with an adult who is actively involved; otherwise, I get bored easily and do not quite know how to play.

As a substitute caregiver within Bambi, you are expected to be able to initiate pedagogical and stimulating activities. Substitute care aims to relieve relatives regarding the care of the child with a disability and enable recovery.

You do not need to have previous experience in the profession, but it is a plus if you have experience with children or people with disabilities. As an employee at Bambi, you will have the opportunity for regular competence development and supervision, as we want you to feel secure in your role.

Salary:
Individual salary setting. Hourly/monthly salary. Collective agreement: Fremia-Kommunal.

Start date:

To be employed as a substitute caregiver or guide, you must have a valid extract from the criminal record register. The police processing time can be up to two weeks - order your register extract as soon as possible.
