The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) is the leading, guiding, and coordinating authority in civil defense. We ensure that society is prepared for crisis, high alert, and war.
Do you want to get others ready?
As a case manager for results management, learning, and follow-up, you will be part of the team at the Section for Peace, Security, and Resilience Operations in the role of MEL Advisor (MEL = Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning). With us, you have the opportunity to get others ready.
Your responsibilities and tasks
As a case manager for results management, learning, and follow-up, you will be one of the section's advisors; others are advisors in environmental and gender equality issues. You will support projects, project managers, and operational personnel in methodological questions regarding follow-up and evaluation and results management. You will contribute to the development of new projects with methodological knowledge and drive internal development and competence development regarding follow-up, evaluation, learning, experience feedback, and results management.
Main tasks will include supporting project managers of capacity-building projects in method selection, development of systems and plans for follow-up, and supporting project managers in developing tools for data collection (e.g., surveys, interview guides, observation protocols, etc.), as well as in the implementation of data collection. It also includes facilitating workshops, reflection exercises, experience seminars, and similar activities.
Additionally, it involves strengthening the capacity for results follow-up and evaluation among employees in the unit, based on the varying needs of different projects. Cross-cutting issues such as environment and gender equality are integrated into all Agency projects and must also be followed up and measured. It may also involve supporting the units for humanitarian and peace-promoting operations within overarching MEL issues based on planned needs.
Project-specific tasks may mean that, in addition to project managers, you work with other individuals and groups, such as operational personnel and the section's partners in the implementation of projects.
