We are currently looking for a Strategic Buyer for a consulting assignment in Gothenburg. You will be part of a category team responsible for driving the strategic purchasing agenda towards key suppliers and technically advanced solutions.

You hold overall commercial responsibility for strategic suppliers and work closely with production, product management, product development, and suppliers to ensure the right balance between quality, cost, and technology.

The assignment includes among other things:

• Responsible for supplier performance and handling escalated supplier issues
• Participate in development projects with a focus on sourcing activities and commercially sound decisions
• Drive long-term cost initiatives
• Create, manage, and further develop supplier agreements
• Develop and steer long-term collaborations with suppliers
• Contribute to strategic initiatives such as make/buy analyses and localization of supply chains in strategically important countries

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• Experience in strategic purchasing with approximately 3–7 years of relevant experience
• Ability to develop and negotiate agreements that support commercial goals
• Good legal and commercial understanding
• Documented ability to drive and develop effective supplier relationships
• Good understanding of management systems, Code of Conduct, and ERP systems
• Experience working in process- and project-driven organizations
• A proactive, self-initiating, and structured working approach
• Interest in and/or experience with technology-driven operations
• Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both verbal and written

• Knowledge of and/or experience with improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or similar
