We are currently looking for an operational buyer for an exciting consulting assignment with a client based in Gothenburg. This is a parental leave cover position, ideal for someone with experience in operational purchasing who thrives in an international environment.

You will become part of a global indirect procurement team, working closely with Category Managers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient procurement processes and contribute to cost savings and improvement initiatives.

About the Role

As an Operational Buyer, your responsibilities include:

• Executing operational purchasing activities in accordance with current procurement strategies and policies
• Managing the supplier base and contributing to negotiations
• Conducting RFQs and savings initiatives
• Ensuring the use of existing supplier agreements
• Supporting internal requesters and ensuring accurate requirement specifications
• Working in procurement systems (e.g., Coupa) and contributing to process improvements
• Collaborating closely with Category Managers and other buyers

You will work with indirect procurement in areas such as:

• Consulting services
• Travel
• Professional services
• Sales & Marketing

We are looking for someone with:

• At least 3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in operational purchasing
• Experience in indirect procurement is a plus
• Experience with ERP and procurement systems
• Strong experience in negotiation and supplier dialogue
• Experience working in an international organization is a plus
• An academic degree in economics, procurement, or a related field
