The French School is a Swedish non-profit independent school with roots dating back to 1862. We follow the Swedish national curriculum, and instruction is conducted in Swedish, although students begin studying French from the pre-school class. Responsibilities
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for primary school years Pre-school Class to Year 3.
We are looking for you who want to help make school days for our students educational, safe, and fantastic.
You are an engaged and development-oriented colleague in our team that teaches our younger students. You have a good ability to create safety and trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are skilled at identifying students' needs and adapting your approach, interaction, and work methods to create the best conditions for each student.
You are structured and collaborate with colleagues based on your pedagogical knowledge.
Through self-reflection and feedback from colleagues, students, and guardians, you continuously develop your good leadership. You are interested in developing teaching together with your colleagues based on the students' needs and conditions.
As a person, you are stable and can handle stress in a constructive way. You are flexible, maintain a good mood, have a pedagogical approach, and treat students, colleagues, and guardians with respect.
You are familiar with the primary school's steering documents and have the ability to translate them into practice.
You will work as a homeroom teacher and, together with grade colleagues and leisure-time center staff, plan, implement, and evaluate the students' education based on national goals and guidelines.
You enjoy being a clear and warm leader in teaching, where you have the ability to create a balance between routines, predictability, extra adjustments, and flexibility. You find it interesting and creative to work with understanding and developing students individually as well as the class as a group. You have a natural aptitude for building trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, which facilitates collaboration and communication.
You treat your surroundings with respect, sensitivity, and curiosity. You are solution-focused and have a positive attitude towards learning and teaching. If so, you are the person we are looking for in this position.
