About us:

INNOVITASKOLAN VÄLLINGBY PARK operates in bright and fine premises. Here, students can go from preschool up to grade 9. The preschool has 5 departments divided into smaller groups based on needs and the content of the teaching. All students and children have good conditions to be seen and developed based on their prerequisites. The schoolyard is constantly developing, and the proximity to green areas is used frequently.

We are looking for you who are a special needs teacher (specialpedagog) and who want to be part of a school that wants to give all students the opportunity to make their own choices in the future. Here, you get to contribute every day to the development of all students towards the goals of education and support colleagues, students, and the entire work team.

Your assignment

As a special needs teacher, you give advice and support to work teams, student groups, and individuals. You conduct investigations together with the teachers, plan interventions, and suggest suitable strategies, methods, and tools. You also teach students with special needs, individually or in small groups, primarily in Swedish in grades 5-9. As a special needs teacher, you are an important resource in the work with follow-up and evaluation in our systematic quality work and our documentation system, Prorenata.

In close collaboration with teachers and the principal, you contribute to creating accessible learning environments that enable all students to succeed in school. You support teachers in the work of adapting the learning environment and designing extra adjustments. You coach teachers in the work with special support through coaching conversations and the establishment of support measures in pedagogical mapping and in the creation of action plans and follow-up of these. An important part of the assignment is to be part of the school's student health team where you contribute to developing student health work at the school together with your colleagues. The student health team consists of the principal, deputy principal, counselor, school nurse, and school psychologist, sometimes a school doctor.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are educated as a special needs teacher and have a teaching license in Swedish, grades 4-9, and feel confident in supporting students, especially in the subject of Swedish. As a special needs teacher, you are a support for the whole school and collaborate with our two special needs teachers. You are well acquainted with the student health process. At our school, we have high ambitions for our children's learning and development, and our work is characterized by high engagement. Therefore, we are looking for you with a large personal engagement for learning and who are driven by exploring new methods and techniques in teaching through collegial collaboration.

As a special needs teacher, you are sensitive and want to guide students into the future. You are also creative, open, structured, and a clear leader. You base your work on research and experience and are not afraid to try different methods in your teaching with students and when supervising educators. You have experience in driving processes and improvement work. You should have an approach that keeps focus on goal fulfillment through follow-up and analysis. It is meritorious if you have good knowledge of modern digital tools and qualifications in the subject SVA (Swedish as a Second Language).
