Description

Skogsbacksskolan's adapted primary school, focusing on subject areas, is a school where we welcome students with multiple disabilities. The majority are at an early developmental level and have significant care needs. The school currently has four classes and a special preschool, Lilla Rummet (The Little Room).

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a student assistant for the adapted primary school. As a student assistant, you are expected to follow the planning, implementation, and teaching. The role of a substitute student assistant includes supporting the student within the school context and contributing to a pedagogical environment that stimulates and challenges the students' development and learning. We are looking for someone who is sensitive to the students' individual conditions and needs. There are approximately 4-5 students per class. The majority of the students have multiple disabilities and are at a very early developmental level, where a large part of the work involves pedagogical care/nursing. The teacher leads and collaborates with student assistants regarding working methods and the students' teaching based on the Swedish School Curriculum (Lgr22).

Qualifications

You have a student assistant education and experience working in adapted primary schools, specifically experience working with students with multiple disabilities and high care needs.

Of course, you have the ability to build trusting relationships by being communicative and sensitive to contacts both within and outside the school. Using digital technology as a natural part of teaching is a given. Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and sign language is meritorious, as is experience and knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and low-affective interaction. We place particular emphasis on experience working with students at an early developmental level.
