Ekgårdens Adaptated Upper Secondary School is now seeking a dedicated teacher for our unit in Vagnhärad, Trosa Municipality.

We offer a unique and supportive learning environment through our individual programs, tailored for students with disabilities. The teaching is based on individually designed curricula with a strong focus on training for independence, aesthetic expression, and practical handicrafts.

You will work in a close-knit team consisting of the principal, school administrator, teachers, and student assistants. Together, we work to create a safe and developmental environment for our students.

Your Responsibilities

• Formulate individual goals in the student's study plan.
• Ensure that the curriculum and work plan are followed.
• Supervise and support student assistants in daily pedagogical work.
• Create and maintain individually adapted timetables that meet each student's needs and modes of expression.
• Work with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to the development and learning of young people. You are a calm and stable person with the ability to identify individual solutions and adapt teaching to the student's prerequisites.

Good collaboration skills are essential, as you will interact with students, colleagues, and parents. You are open to new working methods and have a positive view of people. Experience working within adapted schools is an advantage, but the most important factor is that you fit into our operations and share our values.

A certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) will be required prior to employment.
