We are looking for an engaged textile craft teacher who wants to work with students in grades 3–9 at a pleasant and welcoming school in Gustavsberg.

About the job

You will work as a textile craft teacher for students in grades 3–9. The school is a calm and popular grades F–9 school located in pleasant and functional premises with close proximity to nature.

Although a general plan exists, you will need to do some planning yourself. Students will learn various craft techniques to create functional and decorative items such as tote bags, pencil cases, clothes, or purses, often with a focus on recycling, personal design, and understanding different materials and tools—from idea to finished product. The assignment starts in August and lasts for the entire school year, with the possibility of extension. The position is approximately 80%, and working hours are Monday to Friday.

Your profile

You have a strong interest in textile design. Previous experience working as a teacher is meritorious but not a requirement. Personal qualities and expertise in the field are highly valued. You are a natural leader but also a good team player and a role model. You have a strong commitment to working with children and young people.
