Grillby School – A safe and developing school in Grillby

Grillby School is a small F-6 school where everyone knows everyone, creating a great sense of security and well-being. We have approximately 170 students and around 20 employees. We are located in the community of Grillby, 16 kilometers from Enköping, with good commuting possibilities from Stockholm, Uppsala, and Västerås. The operations take place in a beautiful environment close to nature.

Our employees are well-educated and share each other's competencies through collaboration in learning teams. As we are a smaller school, we have a developmental collegial exchange with joint meetings every week and joint further education. Our strength is that we are flexible and view changes positively. We share the view that answers to students' difficulties should be sought in the learning environment and teaching situations, rather than in the student themselves.

We continuously and systematically monitor students' learning throughout the school year. We own and take responsibility for our results. Grillby School gives students the opportunity to work early with various digital tools. We strive for students, staff, and guardians to feel a great sense of security and well-being with us. Job Responsibilities

In close collaboration with colleagues, you plan, implement, and evaluate the pedagogical work based on the school's steering documents.

In addition to the assignment in the leisure center (mornings, afternoons, and holidays), the job responsibilities also include providing support to students in their schoolwork, both individually and in groups. You remove obstacles for learning and contribute to creating a school that works for everyone. You should also be an active part of the school's recess activities.

You take active responsibility for creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

Qualifications

For you to be the person we are looking for, it is required that you have a positive, flexible, and solution-focused basic outlook. You are confident in yourself with good self-insight, are a team player, but also have the ability to work independently when the assignment requires it. You should find it fun to plan and create activities for and together with students.

As a person, you are engaged and have a great interest in each individual student's knowledge development and social development. You should find it easy to adapt to changed circumstances and see the possibilities in changes.

You can collaborate by creating good relationships with others, are receptive, and have the ability to put yourself in others' perspectives. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
