Do you want to work with system administration and contribute to well-functioning operational support?

We are looking for you who want to manage systems with a focus on education and schools. We are a group within the System Administration Unit working with all systems for all school levels, from preschool to adult education. This position initially focuses on adult education.

Here, you will become part of the System Administration Unit within the Service Administration, consisting of 22 dedicated colleagues. Together, we support the municipality's operations and contribute to their digital development. We are a helpful group with extensive experience and broad competence, happy to share knowledge and experiences. The work is close to operations and is based on close collaboration with users and operations to create solutions that add value. We work according to PM3 and continuously develop our working methods in line with the municipality's growing digitalization needs.

We are located in Värjan, centrally in Eskilstuna, close to both the bus and train stations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a system administrator with a focus on adult education, you are responsible for operationally close system administration and adapting systems according to operational needs. This may include student management systems, learning platforms, and other pedagogical systems related to the school world. Therefore, it is important to understand and master our users' work processes.

The role requires analytical skills and knowledge in documentation, administration models, and operational development. Additionally, solid knowledge of GDPR and information security is required. The role also places high demands on the ability to coordinate operations, IT, and suppliers, as well as knowledge and understanding of digitalization, AI, and continuous improvements. You will also collaborate with the municipality's IT department, system suppliers, authorities, and other actors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent competence acquired through work experience
• Experience working with IT systems, e.g., system administration, system support, or helpdesk
• Knowledge of GDPR, information security, and data protection

It is positive if you have experience with:

• System administration or system support within municipal operations or the education sector
• Requirements engineering, testing, or projects
• Working according to an administration model, e.g., PM3
• Interpreting regulations and ordinances related to schools
