RESPONSIBILITIES

Preschool Bokelund is located in central Växjö, where several different languages and cultures meet. Our biggest driving force is to work with language promotion, with all languages in focus. We value the child's mother tongue proficiency and ensure that every child gets the opportunity to develop these skills.

We are looking for you who want to work as a preschool teacher with us. You see yourself as a co-researching preschool teacher who teaches and organizes activities for preschool-aged children, and you have an interest in working with the Swedish language.

We believe that you thrive in an aesthetic learning environment where language, play, movement, and learning go hand in hand. You are close to the children in their daily lives and actively contribute to their development. In this way, we create opportunities for the children to have a real influence on the operations, so that they can develop into creative, engaged, curious, and secure global citizens.

As a preschool teacher at Bokelund, you work in work teams with smaller groups of children. It is a flexible and fun job where no day is the same as the other. Together with the rest of the work team, you are responsible for conducting the pedagogical work in accordance with current regulatory documents. You work actively with the children's pedagogical documentation as part of the operations' systematic quality work in collaboration with your colleagues. You help give the children knowledge and experiences for life, while you yourself get the opportunity to grow and develop together with them.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a certified preschool teacher with good experience in leadership and the ability to lead both the operations and your colleagues. You function as a spearhead in the work team and have special competence in aesthetic subjects and language.

You have a pedagogical approach where professional pedagogy and teaching go hand in hand, and you can make well-founded didactic choices based on each child's needs and developmental level. In your work, you base yourself on the preschool curriculum, the School Act, the equal treatment plan and the plan against bullying, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as the municipality's value base.

As a person, you are solution-focused, flexible, and have the ability to adapt to changed conditions in everyday life. You work in a structured and professional manner with systematic quality work, pedagogical documentation, reflection, and analysis.

You have experience in intercultural work and are accustomed to meeting children and guardians with different language backgrounds in a professional manner. You have very good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.

Your ability to collaborate is good, and you cooperate easily with other departments. You have good knowledge of language, learning environments, and pedagogical documentation.

In addition to formal education, we place great importance on your personal qualities.
