Your Role

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to work with mechanical and electronic system functionality as well as software development for the fuel system. The role offers significant development potential, and you will collaborate with experienced colleagues in small teams. Today, we consist of about 20 employees with an even age distribution. You will be part of the fuel system technology area within basic aircraft. The majority of the operations are focused on the Gripen and its development. We work on designing aircraft functions for various customers using mechanics, electronics, and software. The work takes place in both smaller assignments and larger projects, and we collaborate extensively with subcontractors and partners in other countries.

The main responsibilities in the role include:

• Responsibility for software development of the fuel control system, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Responsibility for system development of the fuel system, including requirements, design, and documentation.
• Ensure that the fuel system is well integrated with other subsystems in the aircraft.
• Participate in preliminary studies and system investigations.
• You will collaborate with several other areas internally within the company, such as system safety, flight testing and concepts, modeling and simulation, giving you a broad network.

Your Profile

• You are a driven person who is outgoing and good at building connections. You are a curious person with drive and a desire to constantly develop. You have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work both independently and in a group.
• The fuel control system is a complex control system requiring knowledge in control theory. You have knowledge in Matlab/Simulink and the programming language C++. A suitable background is a Bachelor's, Master's, or Civil Engineer degree in fields such as aerospace engineering, technical physics, or electrical engineering.
• Experience in the current or related technical field is meritorious. You express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and English. It is meritorious if you have knowledge in multiple programming languages, software architecture, requirements management, and requirements verification.
• This position requires you to pass a security clearance based on current regulations regarding security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional citizenship requirements may apply.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the currently applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
