Do you want to take overall responsibility for modernizing secure remote access in a large municipal IT environment? In this role, you will help replace an existing remote access solution with Always On VPN as the new standard for client-based access.

You will enter a context where stability, security, and long-term management are crucial. The goal is to develop a solution that works practically for different user groups, device types, and access needs, while being clearly documented and capable of further development over time.

You will work closely with an internal IT organization that is active in the project and contributes with business knowledge, but where you are expected to drive the technical implementation forward. This is an exciting opportunity for you who want to combine deep networking expertise with real influence over design, execution, and final delivery in a complex environment.

• You familiarize yourself with the existing environment and identify prerequisites, dependencies, and technical choices for the new VPN solution.
• You create a technical design for Always On VPN based on business needs, security requirements, and existing infrastructure.
• You analyze and recommend tunnel strategies, such as device tunnel, user tunnel, full tunnel, or split tunnel, based on the solution's use cases.
• You build necessary components and configure Always On VPN according to the approved design.
• You perform functional tests and verify stability, availability, and quality before the solution goes live.
• You support production rollout and deployment to clients, focusing on a solution that works in daily operations.
• You document technical design, configuration, and operational aspects so that the solution is clear to manage further.
• You drive knowledge transfer to internal IT and ensure that the organization can take over, manage, and further develop the solution after implementation.
• You take overall responsibility for planning, execution, and delivery of a complete implementation, not just advising on individual parts.

• You have documented experience leading and taking primary responsibility for the design and successful implementation of Always On VPN in an Enterprise environment.
• You have at least three (3) years of documented experience with the components required for an Always On VPN implementation in an Enterprise environment, such as Windows 11, PKI, RRAS/NPS, Active Directory, and Intune.
• You have strong networking and troubleshooting skills.
• You can handle Swedish and English fluently in both speech and writing.
