Björklinge School is a preschool to year 5 school with just over 500 students. We actively work with collegial learning and strive to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Until week 43, 2026, the entire operation will be evacuated to various locations due to renovation work, which places demands on flexibility, collaboration, and good communication. Students in preschool class to year 1 will have their teaching at Storvretaskolan, while students in years 2-5 will be located in the modules at IFU Arena. Students are bussed every morning from Björklinge School and have their after-school activities located at both the respective evacuation schools and at Björklinge School.

We also have 2 smaller teaching groups: a language group for students with language disorders and the "Bryggan" group for students with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD). The teaching in these groups is characterized by a high degree of individual adaptation and close adult support.

Description of duties

Your main duties include:

• supporting students in their knowledge development based on the teacher's planning, both in the classroom and in smaller settings.
• providing individual support to students in need of special support, for example by clarifying tasks, creating structure, and helping with focus and calm.
• contributing to creating safety, good relationships, and a positive social climate among students.
• participating in breaks, transitions, after-school activities, and other situations during the school day to ensure a safe environment.
• collaborating closely with teachers, student health services, and other staff regarding students' development and needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have experience working with children with special needs. If you have a childcare education, it is considered an advantage.

You are flexible and adapt to the students' needs and changes in daily life. You build good relationships and contribute to a safe environment for the students. Additionally, you are clear in your communication and provide instructions that are easy to understand.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
