The Inspection of Health and Social Care (IVO) is growing and is now looking for inspectors with a focus on health and medical care to develop state supervision and licensing. We are in an expansion phase and need to strengthen our operations with more resources for an important and exciting assignment! We are now looking for inspectors with a focus on health and medical care with placement in Örebro.

About the job

As an inspector with a focus on health and medical care, you will investigate your own cases within the health and medical care sector. As an inspector, you always work from a user and patient perspective, and with the supervisory assignment aimed at investigating, controlling, and setting requirements to contribute to better health care for individuals and different groups of people.

Your main tasks will include:

• independently driving, investigating, and assessing cases concerning individuals' complaints according to the Patient Safety Act (EK-PSL)
• having contact with healthcare providers, health and medical care personnel, and reporters in the investigation work
• nationally collaborating with colleagues around the country
• participating in close and cross-professional collaborations

We work together nationally and you have colleagues around the country. At your office, you are part of a team with colleagues within the current case category. You are part of a close and cross-professional collaboration with inspectors, supervisory dentists, supervisory physicians, and decision-makers. In the long term, the content of your work may change to, for example, include other case categories.

Currently, our agency is in an exciting phase of change and development work, so you should thrive and want to work in a changing environment with a high pace.

The positions are permanent appointments with a six-month probationary period, with placement in Stockholm. Travel in the service may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• a Swedish nursing license
• at least 3 years of experience working in primary care, somatic specialist care, psychiatric specialist care, and/or municipal health and medical care
• documented experience of independent patient safety, analysis, investigation, quality, and/or development work
• very good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing
• good knowledge of health and medical care legislation

To succeed in the role, you need to have both good cooperation skills and high integrity. You have good judgment and feel secure in your professional role. You have an easy time driving your own cases and seeing what you need to do to move forward in your work.
