The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, after-school centers, primary school, upper secondary school, as well as adapted primary and upper secondary schools. Description

We are looking for you who are qualified as an upper secondary school teacher in German. The position comprises two "subject steps" totaling 40 percent, and the teaching can, if desired, be compressed into Mondays and Tuesdays (but it is also possible to follow the regular schedule for our modern languages on more days of the week).

Communication skills and building good relationships with both colleagues and students are important. At Tumba Upper Secondary School, we give subject coordinators significant influence, and it is important that you enjoy collaborating and developing collegially. Our students are generally driven (with high admission scores), and in addition to a high transition rate to universities and colleges, we have several students who distinguish themselves in both national and international competitions. We have three specialized programs, and as a school, we are particularly known for our diverse range of programs and specializations and our strong sports activities. Tasks

Teach German at the upper secondary level, both beginner and advanced levels, in two classes. Some flexibility regarding the schedule, but there are naturally also limitations. If it is difficult to follow the regular schedule positions for modern languages, the teaching can be placed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Qualifications

You have an upper secondary school teaching license in German. You should have high communicative and linguistic competence, and in dialogue with students, you facilitate their learning and linguistic development. You should like people and be a team player who thrives with others. Tumba receives students from approximately 20 municipalities, mostly from the Stockholm area, and they come to us with high ambitions and different school backgrounds. We work purposefully to develop them all for the future.

Experience working as a teacher is a plus, as are good skills in ICT. We work in a Google environment, and knowledge of digitalization in teaching is positive. Curiosity and some familiarity with AI is a plus. Naturally, we also accept applicants directly from teacher education provided you have the right profile and education.

Conditions

HÖK (Collective Agreement for Higher Education and University Colleges).

Please apply early due to holidays. We envision a fixed-term employment of 40 percent for the entire school year. With the right subject combination, your time with us can lead to a permanent position starting from the 2027/28 school year. The employment starts on August 19, 2026. You who are nearing the end of an ongoing teacher education and have completed German are also welcome to apply for work with us.
