Svartbäcksskolan is a municipal school offering primary school grades F-6, an after-school center (fritidshem), adapted primary school grades 1-9, a learning studio, and its own small teaching group. The school has a total of approximately 430 students and 115 staff members. Our school is located next to Tyresta National Park in Haninge Municipality, with the primeval forest just around the corner. We have high ambitions to continuously develop our operations by being an attractive school where all students find their place, and where we work together with the goal in sight to create good conditions for a bright future for our students. We constantly work on quality development, with improved results, increased equity, and an accessible and creative learning environment high on the agenda. Your assignment

As an after-school educator (fritidspedagog) at Svartbäcksskolan, you are an important part of the students' combined school day. You work to create a safe and developmental environment for our students during school hours, breaks, and after-school time. During school hours, you work in the classroom together with teachers, and together you design a working method that is beneficial for the students' learning. In the afternoons, you work in the after-school activities, and together with your colleagues, you ensure that the students have a joyful and meaningful after-school time. You continuously plan, implement, and evaluate the activities, ensuring they are based on the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr 22). The after-school center is in an exciting development process, where you have the opportunity to influence and contribute.

What we are looking for in you

We are looking for you who are trained as an after-school educator and who have a few years of experience working in schools, and are therefore confident in your professional role. You are engaged and have the ability to build good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians alike. You find it easy to collaborate and cooperate, seeing it as a natural part of your daily work. You are flexible and solution-oriented, with the students' needs and well-being always in focus. You have a positive view of students and believe that children do right if they can. You are low-affective and treat students with consideration and respect, even in challenging situations. In the recruitment process, we will place great emphasis on social competencies and personal suitability.
