Measure Connect Display AB (MCD) is the leading company in Scandinavia for level monitoring. We offer a cloud-based logistics system to companies that handle or deliver various types of bulk products in liquid, solid, or gaseous form.

To enable our customers to access our platform, we also offer sensors, self-developed communication equipment, and integration solutions.

We are now looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer for our office in Nyköping (hybrid). This is a key role where you will be central to the next generation of our IoT and communication platform, our AI journey, and long-term technical development.

This is a strategically important role where you will become a key part of MCD's continued product development within hardware, embedded systems, and IoT.

You will work broadly with:

• Evaluating, integrating, and further developing sensors and communication devices – from interpreting specifications and protocols to ensuring devices deliver data to our cloud platform.

• Control/PLC systems for terminals and depots.

• Architectural and technical decisions for the next generation of hardware and IoT platforms.

• Ensuring quality, robustness, and regulatory compliance.

• Close collaboration with development teams, production, suppliers, and sometimes customer-facing functions.

The role reports to the CTO and combines deep technical specialist competence with operational work. You are involved throughout the entire process, from requirements and concepts, via design and verification, to launch and field stability.

We believe you are an experienced engineer with a strong background in hardware, embedded systems, and/or IoT. You thrive when combining advanced technology with practical problem-solving. Qualifications:

• Several years of experience with hardware and embedded systems (electronics, firmware, embedded systems).

• Good understanding of electronics and embedded systems – you do not need to design circuit boards, but must be able to read datasheets, interfaces, and understand limitations.

• Experience with IoT/communication (e.g., telecom, protocols, sensors).

• Proficient in working with communication protocols and troubleshooting at the device level (serial port, AT commands, Modbus, MQTT, or similar).

• Practical experience in testing, verification, and troubleshooting.

• Understanding of certification and regulatory requirements for electronics/communication products.

• Relevant technical education or equivalent experience.

• Interest in how AI/analysis can be used on IoT data is a plus.

• Experience connecting to servers/backend is a plus.

• Very good proficiency in Swedish and English.
