Make a difference. Every day.
Are you looking for a fun, varied, and inspiring job as a nursing assistant? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
After the Vårdval LARO under LOV (the Law of Freedom of Choice) ceased on April 30, 2026, new regional LARO clinics opened in Malmö. The Addiction Center Malmö/Trelleborg is now looking for new employees who want to contribute to the development of future LARO care and become part of an engaged and competent team at our clinics!
We have a assignment that includes a comprehensive medical responsibility for patients with long-term opioid dependence. Here we work with medical treatment, counseling, coordination and planning of care and treatment, psychological testing and investigation, as well as simpler somatic care related to abuse, harmful use, and addiction problems. LARO (medication-assisted rehabilitation for opioid dependence) aims to prevent relapse, improve social functioning, and reduce medical complications, spread of infection, and mortality. The treatment is individually adapted and provided based on the patient's needs and with respect for the patient's self-determination and integrity. To optimize care for the patient, cooperation is required not only within the clinic team, but also with other actors such as Social Services, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
> Region Skåne's LARO clinics Malmö-Trelleborg work according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines. The guidelines for LARO treatment changed in 2016 from opiate dependence to opioid dependence, which means that the treatment is also available to people with long-term pain problems. Those who work at the clinic are psychiatric nurses, general nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, psychologists, medical secretaries, resident doctors, and specialist doctors in psychiatry/addiction.

DUTIES
As a nursing assistant with us, you will become an important part of a cross-professional team where you work in close cooperation with several different professional categories.
In the role, you work closely with the patients and are an important part of the daily treatment and nursing work at the clinic. You participate in conversations, provide support to patients, and contribute to ensuring that the organization's routines and ways of working are followed. You have primary responsibility for drug testing and ensure that these are carried out in a professional and legally secure manner. As a nursing assistant, you have a central function in the clinic's daily work and contribute to creating safety, continuity, and good treatment for the patients.
All employees at the unit have a great responsibility to develop and improve care in cooperation with the area's management. With us, you have the opportunity to grow and develop in your role. We offer good development opportunities where you can strengthen your competence and take on your own areas of responsibility, based on your interest and our needs. Some weekend work will occur.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant or specialist nursing assistant in psychiatry. This means that you have a completed upper secondary health and care education (2500 credits), a completed health and care education via Komvux (minimum 1350 credits) or another equivalent nursing assistant education. Since the work largely involves communication and documentation, good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required. You also master basic medical-technical moments at the nursing assistant level.
Applicants who currently hold a permanent employment with the job title "skötare" (caregiver) can apply and will retain the job title upon employment (however, at the latest until 2033 when the title "skötare" ceases within our operations). We would like you to have experience working as a caregiver and/or nursing assistant. It is meritorious if you have experience working in psychiatry or with patients with mental illness. It is an advantage if you have experience in addiction care and/or a genuine interest in working with our target group. In addition, good computer skills and basic knowledge of our medical record system Melior are advantageous.
You have a genuine interest in psychiatric nursing and always put the patient in focus. With good prioritization skills and a structured way of working, you handle your tasks carefully while being flexible and able to adapt when the situation requires it. You actively contribute to a positive work environment and cooperate well with both colleagues, patients, and relatives. You are a safe and stable person and have the ability to remain calm even in stressful situations. Through a low-affective approach, you create safety and trust for the patients. With a high sense of service, responsibility, and a humble attitude, you meet people in vulnerable situations in a respectful and professional manner. Great importance is attached to personal suitability, where your ability to combine empathy, flexibility, and teamwork is particularly valuable.
As part of the suitability assessment, before a decision to offer employment, a check in the suspicion and criminal record register may be made. In this recruitment, we apply continuous selection. You are warmly welcome to submit your application already today, we look forward to getting to know you!
Employment type: Permanent employment.
On July 1, 2023, the title "undersköterska" (nursing assistant) became a protected job title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within health and care. If you currently have a permanent employment as a nursing assistant and are offered a new position, you can keep your title nursing assistant until 2033-06-30. In the event of an interview/employment, you need to be able to show proof of the protected job title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023. If you do not currently have a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or are covered by the transitional provisions, it means that the title in your employment contract will be care assistant (omvårdnadsassistent) and not nursing assistant.
