Moraberg Study Centre is a small school with approximately 220 students, where we have gathered teachers and a student health team with specialized competence for students who wish to qualify for national programs and/or develop their new language, Swedish. Students have the opportunity to read upper secondary courses in combination with compulsory school subjects. Our goal is to motivate and guide students further to continued studies or to working life.
At Moraberg Study Centre, all students should feel welcome, seen, and understood, and a warm, relationship-oriented climate should prevail.
At Moraberg Study Centre, students choose to study on one of the following introduction programs: Language Introduction, Individual Alternative, or Vocational Introduction towards Stylist and Motorcycle Mechanics. The school is also responsible for the municipal activity responsibility where students have the opportunity to study within the individual alternative.
The position is permanent at 80% with a start in August.
Your responsibilities
The work includes planning and teaching on introduction programs. We have small teaching groups with approximately 20 students, and on the individual program, we have approximately 6 students per group. You will teach Swedish as a second language and preferably some upper secondary courses. The assignment includes assessing and grading students against the goals.
You are part of a very competent work and subject team, and you meet your colleagues continuously.
You are an important part of collegial learning where you have great opportunities to exchange pedagogical experiences with your colleagues and develop the operations.
The position also includes a mentoring assignment. Your assignment includes motivating students to qualify for further studies and providing those students who long for working life with the right conditions to succeed.
We see the entire school as a learning organization where joint further education, workshops, and collegial learning are important parts. The school is constantly undergoing exciting development work, where part of it is that all staff have good knowledge within NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders). We have been collaborating with upper secondary schools in Sweden within Intensive Swedish, a research-based method for newly arrived students to develop the Swedish language, for several years.

In your role as a teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the current curriculum and other regulatory documents. Based on this, you have the ability to plan your teaching and let students participate in the design. You have faith in the students' willingness and ability to succeed, and you constantly try to develop your teaching so that you give your students the best conditions.
