Group Manager T&D – Stockholm

Dreaming of a continued career where you can combine your experience as a consultant with developmental leadership? The opportunity is now available!

AFRY has successfully supported energy producers and distributors for many years. The energy market is in a phase of historic growth, and the need for investments in distribution and transmission networks is greater than it has been in decades. At AFRY T&D Grid Integration, Substation and Distribution, North-East, we are over 40 consultants working together to contribute to the expansion of tomorrow's power grid.

Our assignments cover everything from feasibility studies, planning, and design to completed facility modifications. Projects are carried out both under AFRY's own management and as consulting support at our customers' sites. We work on projects of varying scopes, from maintenance and modifications to major reinvestments and new construction. Through our broad competence, we create value for our customers while developing ourselves.

We are now looking for a Group Manager for our Stockholm office. You will lead an established team of approximately 10–12 employees, with the goal of growing the team to over 15 people in the coming months. The role involves close collaboration with another Group Manager in Stockholm, where you will jointly drive growth, competence development, and business development within the operation.

Your most important tasks as Group Manager are to support and develop your employees, expand our service offering to existing customers, and contribute to the department's continued growth together with the Service/Market Area Manager to whom you report. You have full personnel responsibility, which includes recruitment, development, salary setting, and employee follow-up.

This is a role with great freedom to influence and develop both the team and the business. You will have significant responsibility for the team's growth, recruitment, competence development, and customer relations. For the right person, there are great opportunities for further career development within AFRY. You will become part of the management group together with other Group Managers and Service Area Managers in a collaboration characterized by trust, engagement, and joy in working.

As Group Manager, you will work on recruiting new employees as well as business development and sales of the team's services and competence to both existing and new customers. Assignments are primarily conducted at our customers' sites, from AFRY's office in Stockholm, or in collaboration with colleagues across the country.

There is great flexibility in shaping the role based on your experience and ambitions, both regarding leadership and your own consulting work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is motivated by creating and maintaining good relationships with employees, customers, and colleagues. You thrive in a role with many contact surfaces and see long-term relationships as the foundation for creating trust, business, and successful teams.

To succeed in the role, you must also be results-oriented and have the ability to balance business acumen with engaged leadership. You work in a structured manner, take initiative, and have the ability to handle several parallel activities simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Documented experience from a leading role with responsibility for operations, personnel, or business.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as both languages are frequently used within AFRY and in contact with customers.

Merits

  • Experience from the energy or power industry.
  • Previous experience as a manager with personnel responsibility.
  • Experience in consulting activities.
  • Experience in sales and business development.
  • Experience in recruitment and competence supply.
  • Competence and experience in one or more of the following areas: Grid Integration, Substation, and Distribution.

Additional Information

We offer you a flexible work environment and great freedom under responsibility. We know that different people have different needs and value a good balance between work and leisure. At AFRY, we share a strong culture characterized by knowledge exchange, competence development, and continuous learning through both internal and external training as well as individual development plans.

In addition, we offer among other things a generous wellness allowance, occupational health care, pension benefits, and membership in our employee association, Club AFRY. Here, activities such as ski trips, training sessions, cabin rentals, lectures, and much more are organized.

Since the position operates in security-classified areas, a drug test and security clearance will be conducted before employment can begin.

In this recruitment, AFRY collaborates with Avancos. For more information, you are welcome to contact recruitment consultant Christopher Hager at 070-094 74 94 or [email protected].

Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
