We are looking for a Property Technician / Operations Technician for a role at Stockholm Ports.

This is a consultancy assignment with a public authority within port and property management. The assignment is based in Stockholm and is a full-time position.

The role involves close collaboration with the client, requiring high flexibility and strong teamwork skills.

The Assignment

As a Property Technician / Operations Technician, you are responsible for the operation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of buildings, technical installations, and property systems. The role covers both planned and emergency interventions, as well as close cooperation with operations, contractors, and suppliers to ensure safe, secure, and efficient property management.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling and inspecting buildings, technical installations, and property systems according to set intervals.
• Operation, functional control, and minor corrective maintenance of ventilation, heating, cooling, fire alarms, sprinklers, and other technical installations.
• Handling fault reports, operation alarms, and work orders; documenting, following up, and reporting on completed actions.
• Performing checks and tasks within systematic fire protection work (SBA) and acting as a facility operator for fire and evacuation alarms.
• Coordinating work with contractors and suppliers, serving as the contact person for operational matters.
• Participating in authority inspections, ensuring access, and reporting identified deficiencies and action needs.
• Managing cost control, orders, receipt attestations, and invoice verification according to established routines.
• Performing on-call duties, handling urgent property cases, and ensuring rapid response to operational disruptions outside regular working hours.

Requirements (Mandatory)

Language:

• Fluent Swedish in both speech and writing.

Knowledge Requirements:

• Strong technical knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of relevant systems (e.g., electricity, control and regulation technology, ventilation, heating, cooling, water/sewage, pressure vessels, pump and process technology, as well as fire alarms, sprinklers, gas extinguishing equipment, and systematic fire protection work).
• Knowledge of current laws, regulations, and standards regarding safety, environment, and working environment.
• Ability to document work efforts in operation and maintenance systems.
• Basic IT skills for operation monitoring and fault reporting.

Experience Requirements:

• At least three (3) years of practical experience in operation and maintenance within a relevant technical field.
• Experience in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
• Experience working with work orders, service protocols, and reporting according to organizational routines.
• Experience in collecting and analyzing measurement data, as well as water and energy consumption.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Upper secondary or vocational higher education in property technology, OR at least five (5) years of work experience in property management including courses in electricity, plumbing/HVAC, and control and regulation technology.
• Trained as a fire protection controller according to the Swedish Fire Protection Association, or equivalent (e.g., completed SBA patrols).
• Trained as a facility operator for fire and evacuation alarms.
• Hold a valid certificate for HETA work (Highly Hazardous Work).

Merits
