RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a new special needs education colleague for our cross-professional team at the Central Student Health Service, with the current assignment towards Enbacka School in Säter. This is because our current special needs educator at the school will be taking on new assignments within the Central Student Health Service.
At the Central Student Health Service, we work in teams consisting of various professions that collaborate: special needs educators for preschool and primary school, school counselors, school nurses, school psychologists, speech-language and hearing educators, and SLS developers.
Your responsibilities as a special needs educator are to work preventively and health-promoting in collaboration with the other professions at the central student health service, principals, and other school staff to contribute to a good inclusive learning environment for our children and young people. You work on assignments distributed by the principal during the school's student health team meetings. The assignments are created in our child and student health journal system, Prorenata. The work includes supervision of the school's staff, support in the work with investigations of special support for educators, observations, and preventive student care interventions at the individual, group, and organizational levels.
The special needs educators plan and implement competence development across the municipality in collaboration with principals and the unit manager for the Student Health Service. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence and drive the development of the municipality and the school.
The special needs educator should be a qualified conversation partner/advisor for principals, educators, student assistants, and parents in pedagogical matters. The special needs educator supervises staff individually and in groups.
The work also includes collaboration with external partners such as social services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), and Habilitation.
There is a close and continuous collaboration within the special needs educator group, which enables, for example, colleague supervision and leveraging each other's competencies within the special needs education field. This means you will receive significant support in your own profession while simultaneously becoming part of a cross-professional team under the principal's leadership, where everyone's competencies can shine.
The special needs educator group receives continuous external supervision as support in the processes they are engaged in.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a trained special needs educator or about to graduate as a special needs educator.
It is an advantage if you have knowledge and experience working in the child and student health journal system Prorenata.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Our slogan within the Child and Education sector in Säter Municipality is: Everyone should succeed – We help each other!
This should permeate our operations and the work we do.
