Do you have the courage to lead the way and create a Vallentuna where people and ideas grow? Do you want to strengthen Vallentuna's association life and create good conditions for engagement and development? The Department of Culture and Leisure is now looking for an Association Developer who wants to be a driving force in supporting, developing, and collaborating with the municipality's associations.

Vallentuna Municipality has the courage to lead. Our ambition is to be at the forefront when it comes to innovative solutions, smart working methods, and an efficient organization. As an employee, you play an important role in development work. The municipality as a workplace is characterized by a consensus between politics and operations, where the common interest and responsibility for Vallentuna's best shine through. Treatment, accessibility, and customer focus are important in our work for good results and increased quality.

Engagement, collaboration, and the equal value of all should permeate our organization. You who apply should naturally share our common values.

About the operations:

The Department of Culture and Leisure drives, supports, and develops activities that contribute to offering all municipal residents opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. This includes sports facilities and leaders, libraries and general cultural activities, youth and active leisure, senior activities, and support for association life as well as measures for outdoor life and public health with a focus on movement.

As an Association Developer, you are an important part of the departmental staff, a common resource, and a support for the entire department in the overarching strategic mission to develop the culture and leisure area in Vallentuna Municipality.

Tasks:

As an Association Developer, you have a key role in developing collaboration between the municipality and association life. You work both operationally and strategically to improve working methods, strengthen dialogue, and provide support to associations within culture, sports, and outdoor life, as well as other associations within the culture and leisure area.

You participate in and drive development processes within the association area. This can, for example, involve developing the work with local booking and how the municipality's sports facilities, cultural venues, and other relevant premises are used in an efficient and purposeful way. It can also involve processing and developing the forms for association support, strengthening dialogue with associations, or contributing to new working methods and solutions based on the needs of association life.

In the role, you plan and lead dialogues with associations and other actors, capture needs and perspectives, and translate them into concrete improvements. You participate in and lead projects and collaboration efforts within the association area, with a special focus on cultural, outdoor, and sports associations, as well as other associations within the culture and leisure area.

You are also an important link between association life and the municipality. Through ongoing dialogue, you contribute to long-term relationships and to creating good conditions for a strong, inclusive, and sustainable association life in Vallentuna. The assignment also includes working in and being the system administrator for the municipality's booking and grant system, as well as contributing to the development of the system.

Qualifications:

We are looking for you who:

  • have relevant education or equivalent experience that the employer considers equivalent.
  • have experience of collaboration with different actors.
  • have good IT competence and experience working in different systems.
  • have experience of leading dialogues, processes, or development work.
  • have education or equivalent experience that the employer considers relevant for the role.
  • have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you:

  • have experience of working in a politically governed organization.
  • have worked with association development, local booking, or association support.
  • have experience of working within the culture, sports, or outdoor area.
  • have experience of Power BI or similar tools for reporting and analysis.

Personal qualities:

  • You work towards results, show reliability, and take responsibility for planning and follow-up of your work.
  • You strengthen relationships by helping others, collaborating, following rules and processes, and sharing information.
  • You develop, improve, seek solutions, learning, and knowledge on your own initiative.
  • You are the link, provide service, show loyalty outwardly and inwardly, and monitor the external environment.
  • Common values are visible in your treatment of others.
  • You are sensitive to the needs of the associations and have a clear development focus.
  • You are structured and have the ability to drive processes forward, from idea to implementation.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
