Helenelundsskolan is a grades 1-9 school located in Southern Sollentuna. The school has just over 1,000 students and we have 120 employees. Helenelundsskolan's vision is: We develop the future, with the motto do good, feel good, develop! You land softly with us!

This is a permanent position at 90% with a start date in August.

Responsibilities

As a teacher in Home and Consumer Studies and Physical Education, you teach students in grades 8 and 9. You are responsible for planning and conducting teaching in accordance with the curriculum's goals and the students' needs.

In Home and Consumer Studies (HCS), you teach two groups in grade 8 and two groups in grade 9 in the school's own home economics room. You lead practical sessions, work with sustainable consumption, personal finance, and cooking, and create a safe and well-organized learning environment.

In Physical Education, you teach three classes in grade 9 in the school's large gymnasium, which is shared with colleagues. You plan varied activities that promote joy of movement, health, and cooperation, and work with safety in teaching and adaptations based on the group's needs.

The role includes mentorship in grade 9, which you share with a colleague. You contribute clarity, structure, and stability to the mentorship work and are an important part of creating security and continuity for the students.

Qualifications

You work independently, are proactive, and plan teaching based on the group's needs. You are skilled at creating motivation and interest and are well familiar with the school's governing documents.

You are relationship-building and establish trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are receptive, unpretentious, and always put the students' security and knowledge development at the center. You thrive in a work team where collaboration and collegial learning are a given.

Requirements

• Licensed teacher for lower secondary school in Physical Education and Home and Consumer Studies.
• Experience teaching Physical Education.
• Experience teaching Home and Consumer Studies.
• Experience teaching in lower secondary school.
