With the goal of "Developing world-class competence for a sustainable future and a good life," the Forestry and Agriculture Administration offers education within upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, adult education, and university college. The agricultural schools Axevalla Horse Center, Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological University College function as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with business and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and pioneering pilot activities at the schools. The Forestry and Agriculture Administration is part of the Region Västra Götaland.

Naturbruksskolan Uddetorp is located on the outskirts of Skara, close to both the city and nature. At Uddetorp, students can study the Agricultural Program with specializations in machinery, crop production, farm animals, and machine service. Here we run our own farm where students develop and learn in a real-world environment. There are 195 upper secondary students at Uddetorp, most of whom live in the school's boarding house. The school also has a large adult education program offering both adult education (vux) and vocational higher education (YH) courses.

Job Responsibilities

We have received additional funding from the Region Västra Götaland to start a two-year education program in IM-vocational introduction. This is a vocational education for students who lack the qualifications for upper secondary school. The education includes several basic agricultural courses as well as APL (workplace-based learning). For this education, we are looking for an instructor who wants to work with explaining, clarifying, and motivating students to learn.

The main responsibilities are:

• To support and instruct students' learning, primarily in practical tasks.
• Coach and support students before and during APL.
• Collaborate with teachers, mentors, and student health services to provide students with the guidance and stimulation needed to reach their goals.
• Support individual students who are in need of special support.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a satisfactory upper secondary education. A B-class driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement. It is an advantage if you have an educational background within agriculture and forestry as well as experience in farming. We would appreciate it if you had training and knowledge in building maintenance and tractor driving. Experience working with young people aged 16–20 is also considered an advantage.

You should have a strong interest in the green industry and a desire to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to develop based on their goals. You are flexible, goal-oriented, and take the initiative to collaborate with colleagues. We are looking for someone who is development- and goal-oriented, meticulous, and enjoys being in a changing daily routine together with students and colleagues. You are characterized by openness, lack of pretension, and a strong willingness to collaborate.

Conditions

Project employment starting in August 2026 until June 2028, 100% employment rate, and holiday service. Selection and interviews may take place on an ongoing basis, so apply today but no later than June 25.
