Vaxmoraskolan is a two-stream school for grades F–6 in Törnskogen with approximately 400 students. The school is located in a nature-rich environment where the forest is used as part of the teaching. We work with a clear value base, student influence, and a strong focus on safety and participation. Movement and well-being are integrated into the school day, and the school has a functioning student health team that works closely with staff to create accessible learning environments for all students.

Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher, you work with analyses at the individual and group levels and actively contribute to the school's development through qualified discussions regarding learning situations and the school environment. You work systematically with issues concerning accessibility, individual adaptations, and values, and you have a salutogenic approach that supports health-promoting and preventive work.

You work practically with students both individually and in groups. You conduct pedagogical assessments, design action plans, and follow up and evaluate interventions.

The role includes mentoring and supporting your colleagues based on analyses and needs. You collaborate closely with school leadership, colleagues, and the school's student health team, and you are an important part of the work to create learning tools that meet the students' needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a confident and engaged special needs teacher with clear pedagogical leadership skills and the ability to create structure and a conducive learning environment. You have broad knowledge in both mathematics and language development and experience working with students in need of support.

You work systematically with pedagogical investigations, assessments, and follow-ups, and you possess specialist knowledge that contributes to the school's development.

You are relationship-building and establish trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You have excellent collaboration skills and thrive in a student health team where people work closely together. The role requires you to be clear in your communication, flexible in your working methods, and confident in adapting interventions based on analyses at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You are independent, proactive, and have a solution-oriented ability that allows you to remove obstacles and develop accessible learning environments.

• Licensed primary school teacher
• Special needs teacher degree
• Experience working as a special needs teacher in primary school
