Support Pedagogs for Disability Services / Service Housing - Group Housing

We are currently seeking 1–2 Support Pedagogs

We work on behalf of the purchaser unit and provide support to individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, and intellectual disabilities who reside in housing with special services in Haninge Municipality.

Your role as a support pedagog is based on the Support and Service Act (LSS), where the core principles are self-determination, influence, accessibility, participation, continuity, and a holistic view. The goal is for every individual to receive the support they need to live as independent a life as possible with good quality of life.

Your Assignment

In the role of support pedagog, you guide and implement pedagogical working methods and are responsible for their development in collaboration with management. You serve as a resource for other employees in the work group and mentor colleagues regarding social documentation and pedagogical work.

You continuously update yourself on pedagogical and evidence-based knowledge and inform the work group about this. Your duties also include searching for, sorting, and disseminating relevant information and new findings.

The service housing is staffed around the clock. You will work on a schedule that includes mornings, days, evenings, on-call sleeping shifts, and every other weekend.

What We Are Looking For

We actively work with digitalization where possible; for example, we offer Wellbee to all users. We will also have an information screen in the facility displaying daily activities and staffing.

As a support pedagog with us, you must therefore be comfortable with digital systems and tools.

  • You are flexible and take initiative in your work
  • You drive development forward with pedagogical work in focus
  • You are well-versed in regulations and directives

Qualifications:

You who apply must have:

  • Completed education as a support pedagog
  • Good computer skills and experience documenting according to the Support and Service Act for Certain Disability Groups (LSS)
  • Experience working with the target group of individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience in the profession as a support pedagog
  • Knowledge of low-arousal approach (lågaffektivt bemötande)
  • Knowledge of mental illness and co-morbidity
