Personal assistance is a service provided under the LSS Act (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Disabled People). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to people who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Every client is unique, and your tasks will vary depending on the client's needs. You value the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making daily life run smoothly.

About the role

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done.

Our client is a social and cheerful 33-year-old woman who has a sense of humor, autism, and a moderate intellectual disability. She appreciates assistants who are fun and playful!

Her interests include shopping, having coffee at a café or in nature, visiting playgrounds, playing games, taking walks, jumping at Yoump trampoline park, or engaging in other fun daily physical activities.

The assistants currently working with the client have all worked together for many years, and it is a wonderful work group with great care for each other and the client. As an assistant, you will join a secure group that is flexible and supports each other.

We are now looking for you who fits the following:

• Want to work with a 33-year-old woman living in Helsingborg
• Have experience working with people with autism
• Have experience with low-affective interaction (calm and structured approach)
• Have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Are physically fit
• Can work night shifts (24-hour shifts)
• Are a non-smoker

It is also an advantage if you:

• Have experience in similar work within healthcare/care services
• Have experience and knowledge of PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and TEACCH
• Have a valid driver's license (Category B)

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Our client prefers female applicants, but all applications will be considered.

Working hours, employment percentage, and salary:

The current form of employment is "hourly employment," which means working as needed with varying hours during the day, evening, and night on weekdays and weekends. Working hours are from 11:00 to 11:00 the next day, with an 8-hour on-call period at night. There will also be opportunities to work more during the summer/autumn when regular staff are on vacation or absent.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.
