Adult learning covers SFI (Swedish for Immigrants), municipal adult education at the upper secondary level, upper secondary and post-secondary vocational education, as well as the Learning Centre. Adult education collaborates locally, regionally, and nationally within various parts of our operations, and the development of activities linked to various state grants is continuous, which places high demands on flexibility, coordination, and collaboration with other operations.

We are now expanding our operations and are looking for an Industrial Teacher.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will teach students on industry-related programs, for example, CNC operator training, YH courses/programs, commissioned education, and collaborative education with upper secondary schools.

Your responsibilities include:

  • planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on the Swedish National Agency for Education's course plans
  • assessing and grading students' skills in the courses
  • collaborating with colleagues and representatives from the business community
  • planning, implementing, and following up on values-based work
  • systematic quality work
  • working and documenting in the operational systems in place

The mission of adult education is constantly changing, and as a teacher in industrial trades, you need to be able to work with students at different levels within the education system. As an industrial teacher, you may also receive assignments as a team leader, lead teacher, or coordinator for certain commissioned education.

Currently, we are three full-time industrial teachers, all with experience in the industrial sector within CNC. You should have similar competence with experience from CNC work, as this is the core of our operations.

Some evening teaching may be relevant.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

  • upper secondary school diploma
  • experience and competence within CNC/cutting machining
  • good IT competence to handle digital services and software available within schools and industry

It is meritorious if you have:

  • university education in industrial engineering
  • licensed vocational teacher
  • experience as a vocational teacher or other pedagogical work

We place great importance on personal suitability. This means, for example, that you have the ability to independently organize and plan your work, find it easy to build new relationships, and enjoy thinking outside the box and finding solutions.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date: By agreement.
Probation period may apply.
