Teacher for Fröviskolan 7–9 in Lindesberg

Fröviskolan 7–9 is looking for an engaged and solution-focused teacher who wants to work with students in need of special support in a smaller educational setting.

The role involves responsibility for a small student group where the students require a high degree of structure, clarity, and adaptations to succeed in their schooling.

As a teacher in this operation, you will be a key adult who creates safety, motivation, and a conducive study environment. You will work closely with the student welfare team, guardians, and school leadership to provide students with the best possible conditions for knowledge-based and social development.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in small groups.
• Adapt teaching based on students' individual needs and prerequisites.
• Act as a mentor and a key contact person for the students.
• Participate in assessments, action plans, and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with the student welfare team, guardians, and teaching staff.
• Work to strengthen student attendance, motivation, and goal achievement.
• Contribute to creating a safe, structured, and predictable learning environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are a certified teacher with eligibility in several subjects, preferably Swedish and Social Studies.
• Have experience teaching in middle or upper secondary school.
• Have good knowledge of NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and inclusive learning environments.
• Feel confident in meeting students with complex needs.
• Have good skills in building relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Are flexible, solution-oriented, and work in a structured manner.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Special educational needs education or experience.
• Experience working with adapted study programs.
• Experience working with students with high school absenteeism.
• Experience with low-affective interaction approaches.
