About the position

As a preschool teacher at Lagan, you will, together with the rest of the work team, be responsible for children's development and learning, both for the individual child and the whole group. Our goal is to create a safe and stimulating environment, both indoors and outdoors, that invites community, joy, and learning.

Lagan consists of two departments; Lille Skutt, which is a toddler department for children aged 1–3 years, and Bamse, which is for children aged 3–5 years. With us, you will continuously and systematically document, follow up, evaluate, develop, and drive the pedagogical work using a project-oriented approach. We focus on joyful learning and work to develop children's influence, participation, and personal responsibility.

With us, the activity should be fun, safe, and educational where both children and guardians always feel welcome. We expect you to have a close and trusting collaboration with guardians and other staff. Our core values are democracy, learning, security, and joy. Examples of tasks:

• know and follow the curriculum, laws, policies, and routines
• lead, organize, plan, implement, and develop teaching
• be responsible for documenting, following up, analyzing, and developing the education
• use methods and approaches in education that are based on scientific grounds and proven experience
• work to ensure that every child and the group have their needs met by applying a democratic approach
• offer a good environment for care, development, play, and learning
• be responsible for the content, design, and implementation of development talks
• work and document in the activity system

About the workplace

Preschool Lagan is located in Hjärsta and consists of 2 departments and has its own kitchen where meals are prepared from scratch. We work to ensure that the children have a safe and educational stay at the preschool. Concepts such as empathy, respect, and attentiveness are put at the center. An open and permissive climate gives the children the opportunity to influence their daily lives. The staff helps the children process and put words to their feelings, thereby increasing understanding of others. We want to create an environment where the child thrives, makes friends, and where the child's joy and curiosity are preserved.

We are part of the intrapreneurship preschools central west. Our vision is Preschool-The Meeting Place for Learning and Joy. Within the intrapreneurship, preschools often work together and exchange competencies and experiences at, for example, joint APT meetings.

Within the Preschool and Primary School Administration, approximately 4,530 employees work. We meet the young people of Örebro from the first day in preschool to the last day in primary school.

Qualifications

As a preschool teacher with us, it is important that you are secure and engaged in your role. To achieve the preschool's goals, we see that you are driven, take responsibility for your tasks, and have a solution-focused approach. Furthermore, you have the ability to see the big picture and adapt to changed circumstances. In your daily work, you are good at listening and communicating and have a good understanding that children absorb knowledge in different ways and adapt your learning based on the children's different prerequisites. You master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with children, relatives, and other staff, and can document in writing what the activity requires. As the work involves digital documentation, good computer skills are also required.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements

• licensed preschool teacher, or alternatively hold a qualification-giving degree that entitles you to a license
