About the Position

At Backagården Preschool, we are looking for an additional preschool teacher who, together with colleagues, wants to work towards offering the children a safe, fun, and exploratory daily life at the preschool. You will help shape an education where children are encouraged to wonder and develop their ability to explore, communicate, and reflect. The group of children and the interaction between children and adults are important and active parts of the children's development and learning at the preschool. Your role as a preschool teacher is to work together with the work team to create conditions for varied teaching situations, where children have the opportunity to develop both individually and together with other children. You are a significant adult, both for the children and for your colleagues.

Planning and implementation are based on the curriculum and on the knowledge and experiences the children have previously acquired. Your task as a preschool teacher, according to the curriculum, is to ensure that care, development, and learning form a whole. Spontaneously arising activities and interests, daily activities, and routines at the preschool are part of the teaching. Developing pedagogical content and inspiring, accessible learning environments is an important part of your task as a preschool teacher.

You have scheduled time for individual reflection and planning, reflection time with other preschool teachers, and within the work team. All work teams have continuous supervision with the special pedagogue of the preschool area. Work clothes are included in the job.

Examples of tasks:

• Together with the work team, you work to offer safe care in the education
• Under the guidance of a preschool teacher, you use methods and approaches in the education that are based on scientific grounds and proven experience
• You contribute to the education being documented, followed up, analyzed, and evaluated
• You work to ensure that every child and the group have their needs met
• You work to offer a good environment for development, play, and learning
• Under the guidance of a preschool teacher, you contribute to the content and implementation of development talks
• You work and document in the existing activity systems

About the Workplace

The preschool consists of three departments with age-divided children's groups. The departments work close to each other, which creates conditions for children and adults to get to know each other and feel safe with everyone.

The preschool has a large garden-like yard that invites to play, movement, and exploration. Here you will find a cycling track, a sledding hill, sand play, a forest area, cultivation areas with trees and bushes, and green hills that stimulate the children's imagination and motor skills. We also make excursions in our immediate environment. The environments, both indoors and outdoors, are designed to be meeting places where exploration can begin and continue over time.

Within the Preschool and Primary School Administration, approximately 4,530 employees work. We meet the young people of Örebro from the first day in preschool to the last day in primary school. Qualifications

As a person, you are secure and stable and have an easy time adapting to changed circumstances. You take responsibility for your tasks and come up with solutions in work-related issues. You have good cooperation skills, are a good listener, and communicate with both colleagues and children and guardians in speech and in writing.

Requirements

• licensed preschool teacher, or alternatively hold a qualification-giving degree that entitles you to a license
