Unit Description

Stråkvägen 15 is located in Huddinge Municipality and is situated in Snättringe, Huddinge. The operation is a group home with 5 places operated according to the Law on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Disabilities (LSS).

About the Work

Within Functional Support in Huddinge Municipality, you will have the opportunity to use your pedagogical competence to create a meaningful everyday life for the individuals we provide support and service to. As a support pedagogue, you will have an important role with us. You provide support by motivating and being a role model in the daily and pedagogical work in the operation. Together with other employees, you plan and carry out the operation's assignments in such a way that it enables increased participation and self-determination for each individual.

In the role of support pedagogue, you are present in the daily user-oriented work and support your colleagues in the pedagogical work at the unit. You implement and drive evidence-based methods in daily work. Together with the responsible manager, you ensure that the work with pedagogy and methods is planned, documented, and followed up continuously.

As a support pedagogue, you act as a sounding board and have the ability to support your colleagues in how to plan quality support for each individual. You are expected to be a positive and driving force who wants to develop the unit in accordance with what is intended within LSS.

As a support pedagogue in Functional Support in Huddinge Municipality, you have the opportunity to grow in your role, where you among other things have the opportunity to be a mentor for newly hired colleagues, further educate yourself during working hours, and become a supervisor for support pedagogue students.

As support for your assignment, you have regular contact with Functional Support's method developer and participate in network meetings together with other support pedagogues, as well as have ongoing check-ins with your manager.

The staff group in the operation consists of 12 support assistants and one supervisor.

The position involves scheduled work during the day, evenings, and every other weekend, where you combine practical support and service work with developing the operation's pedagogical work.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have completed a support pedagogue education (200 vocational higher education credits) or relevant education for the target group that corresponds to at least 60 higher education credits. You must be able to prove your degree with a transcript. You are engaged and want to continue to grow with us.

You have knowledge and experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.

You have knowledge and experience of working with clear pedagogy, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and low-affective handling. You master Swedish well in both speech and writing and have good computer skills. We would appreciate it if you have experience of working with people with challenging behaviors and multiple disabilities with a large care need.

We are looking for you who are structured and responsible. You have the ability to adapt your working method based on the person and situation, and have a respectful handling with good, empathetic ability. You have a non-hierarchical attitude, are self-initiating, and have an easy time collaborating. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
