Do you want to help create a meaningful and active leisure time for a 17-year-old boy with a disability? We are now looking for an engaged contact person who is fluent in sign language.

About the position

As a contact person, you will be an important social support and contribute to a meaningful leisure time. The assignment covers approximately 4 hours per month and involves finding activities together that create joy, development, and inclusion.

The youth is deaf and communicates exclusively through sign language, making it essential that you are fully fluent in sign language.

The work may include, for example:

• cycling or participating in other leisure activities
• visiting the gym and providing support to get started with exercise
• looking at vehicles, which is a major interest
• going out to eat or taking simpler excursions

The scope of the assignment varies depending on needs and is usually between 6 and 40 hours per month. The form of employment is hourly. Any expenses incurred in connection with activities are reimbursed against receipts.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who:

• is fluent in sign language
• preferably has a hearing impairment themselves
• has knowledge of ADHD/autism spectrum disorders (NPF) and intellectual disability (ID)
• is patient, receptive, and confident in yourself
• has the ability to adapt your communication based on the individual's language level
